UPDATE: Artist Removed Post, Inside Source States RO Team Disbanded...

According to an updated article from Protodude's Rockman Corner, lead artist Kang Dong Hwa seems to have removed the post implying that the game was cancelled. Not exactly sure what could've led the artist to remove the post, but we could guess that he probably figured that the game would be cancelled and jumped into conclusion to go ahead and post the artworks.

However, Heat Man from The Mega Man Network stated that "an inside source has confirmed that the team working on Rockman Online was disbanded. If Online is even still in development, it would likely be a very different game than anything we’ve seen so far. We’re choosing not to name the source."

Heat Man also laments for Rockman Online. While not a huge fan of the game, he admitted that it was so rich with content and had much potential. Yet, with the developers disbanding and NeoWiz restructuring its company, it seems more than likely that the game is cancelled...

Here are some videos of the game trailers and early gameplay when Rockman Online was first announced.

Rockman Online Game is Likely Cancelled, New Artworks Emerge

It's been a while since we last heard about the status of the Rockman Online MMO game with its game developing company NeoWiz restructuring.

Well, Rockman Online lead artist Kang Dong Hwa (aka cantio75), has admitted in his personal blog that he was dropped on a project - which could be Rockman Online. He has also posted numerous concept illustrations for the Rockman Online game - something that a concept artist couldn't do legally unless the game was published or scrapped.

However, we still have yet to hear from NeoWiz of the official confirmation. It's certainly disappointing that a game with much potential hasn't had much updates in over half a year and now it's likely that it will be cancelled. At the very least we get to see some new and unseen concept illustrations for the game.

Unfortunately it's plain by the quality of the videos it needed more work than they thought was worthwhile. The market's flooded with MMOs, that's the reality.

Don't worry! We've got iOS tripe on the way with ingame purchases.

Megaman's long gone for me.
